Prayers focus for Putatan
6 August 2026

1. Salvation for All Nations and God's Visitation Upon Every Family
Prayer focus : Pray that God will visit every resident of Putatan regardless of ethnicity, religion, nationality, or social status.
Pray that : Every family will experience God's love, truth, and salvation. The Gospel will be shared through love, godly witness, and the power of the Holy Spirit—not through coercion or hatred. Husbands and wives will be reconciled, and family altars of prayer and worship will be restored. Children and youths will be protected from drugs, violence, sexual exploitation, crime, bullying, and school dropout. Those who are sick, poor, undocumented, or marginalized will receive help, justice, and compassion. Churches will be united in serving the community with humility. The Lord will send His workers into every village, housing area, school, and workplace.
God's Promises and Will :
• 1 Timothy 2:3–4 God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
• 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord does not want anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
• Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household."
• Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
• Psalm 22:28 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord.
• Isaiah 60:1–3 When the Lord's light rises, the nations will come to His light.
" Heavenly Father, we bring before You all the people of Putatan District. You love every person and do not desire that anyone should perish. Visit every village, housing estate, rental home, school, business, and workplace. Open the hearts of every family to receive the love, truth, and salvation found in Jesus Christ. Restore marriages, reconcile parents and children, and raise up family altars in every believing home. Protect children, youths, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities, migrants, and those without documentation. Let no one become a victim of human trafficking, drugs, violence, or exploitation. Send forth workers filled with love and the Holy Spirit. Make Your Church the light of the world and the salt of the earth, serving all people without discrimination. In the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen. "
2. Purifying the Altar and the Victory of Christ's Kingdom is the Foundation of Spiritual Warfare.
The Bible affirms that people or followers of other religions are not our enemies :
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world" — Ephesians 6:12 Therefore, this prayer is not directed against people, places of worship, or any particular community.
Instead, we ask God to destroy the works of sin, deception, idolatry, occult practices, fear, and injustice, while saving those who are held captive by them. The Bible also does not teach us to command angels according to our own will. Angels are God's heavenly servants who carry out His commands. We therefore ask God Himself to send His help according to His will.
Christ's Promises of Victory
• Colossians 2:14–15 Through the cross, Christ disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities and triumphed over them.
• 1 John 3:8 The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil.
• Luke 10:19 Christ has given His disciples authority over the power of the enemy.
• 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 The weapons of our warfare have divine power to demolish strongholds and bring every thought into obedience to Christ.
• Hebrews 1:14 Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.
• Psalm 103:20–21 The angels of the Lord carry out His word and obey His commands.
• Revelation 12:11 God's people overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.
Pray that: The Church will first humble itself, repent, and purify its own altar. Hidden sins, abuse of authority, and deception will be exposed. Bondages of occultism, addiction, violence, and every practice that enslaves people will be broken. False teachings and spirits of deception will lose their influence. The minds of the community will be enlightened to know the truth. Those trapped in sin and deception will be saved rather than destroyed. The Holy Spirit will fill homes, churches, and communities with God's peace.
Spiritual Warfare Prayer :
" Lord Jesus Christ, You are the King of kings, and all authority has been placed under Your feet. We acknowledge that victory comes not through human strength but through Your cross, Your blood, and Your resurrection. We first humble ourselves and repent for the sins, compromises, divisions, pride, injustice, and impurity among Your people. Cleanse every church altar and every family altar. Let our worship once again be centered on Christ. Based on Christ's victory in Colossians 2:15, we ask that every work of darkness operating in Putatan be stripped of its influence. Tear down strongholds of deception, fear, occult practices, addiction, violence, ethnic division, corruption, and exploitation. Expose false teachings and those who misuse religion for personal gain. Yet, Lord, save them, open their eyes, and lead them to genuine repentance. Lord of Hosts, send Your angels according to Your will and command to protect families, children, churches, and Your servants. Let the light of Christ penetrate every place of darkness, and let the peace of God's Kingdom fill Putatan. We reject hatred toward people, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood. We bless every people group and pray that they may be set free by the truth. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. "
3. Restoration of Justice, Righteousness, and Godly Leadership

Prayer focus : God will raise up leaders of integrity who fear Him. Corruption, abuse of power, favoritism, and protection of criminals will be exposed through fair legal processes. Police and enforcement officers will receive courage, wisdom, resources, and protection. Law enforcement will be firm yet compassionate. Victims of human trafficking and exploitation will be treated as victims rather than criminals. No one will be judged based solely on ethnicity, religion, poverty, or documentation status. Development, housing, sanitation, drainage, healthcare, and public safety in Putatan will be governed wisely. Village heads and community leaders will become peacemakers.
" Righteous and faithful Father, we commit the leadership of our nation, the State of Sabah, and the District of Putatan into Your hands. Grant every leader wisdom, a clear conscience, courage, and the fear of the Lord. Remove through righteous and lawful means every form of corruption, abuse of power, deception, negligence, and every alliance that protects criminal activity. Expose hidden wrongdoing, and bring the guilty to repentance and accountability according to the law. Protect every police officer and all law enforcement personnel who faithfully carry out their duties. Keep them from corruption, political pressure, and the misuse of force. Give them wisdom to act firmly against criminals while showing compassion toward victims, children, and the vulnerable. Raise up leaders in Putatan who defend the poor, the orphan, the widow, the undocumented, and those who have no voice. Let justice roll like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. We pray that Putatan will become a district that is peaceful, clean, orderly, and prosperous—a place where every people group can live without fear. May Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done in Putatan as it is in heaven. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. "

Putatan shall not be ruled by hatred, corruption, violence, or division. We pray that Putatan will be filled with justice, righteousness, salvation, and peace. May every family be visited by the Lord, every church be revived, every leader govern with justice, and the younger generation have a future filled with hope. In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! "
